Performances, while a bit cold throughout, are rather good at times. And visual design, notably costumes, can sometimes betray the serious narrative, rendering chuckles and laughs. Characters are cold and largely emotionless. Scenes are weirdly edited, cutting off too soon or lingering for way too long. The story, a loose retelling of the Greek myth of Theseus, is sloppy and sometimes contrived or downright nonsensical.
